Method and assumptions
Required future GPA = [target GPA × total credits − current GPA × completed credits] ÷ remaining credits. All credits must use the same grading scale. A result above the scale maximum is not attainable with the entered remaining credits. This assumes all remaining credits contribute to GPA and no previous grades are replaced.
Worked example
Current GPA 3.2 across 60 credits and a 3.5 target across 90 total credits require 4.1 over the remaining 30 credits.
